Park Place layouts, and what you’d like your home to be for
Park Place in Desa ParkCity keeps a work loft and study rooms in its Sky Garden on levels 41 and 42, so interior design for your own home can centre on rest, cooking and family.
Some evenings, all you want from home is that it asks nothing of you. At Park Place the building helps: it keeps a work loft, study rooms and a music room upstairs, so the rooms you come back to can be for dinner, sleep and the people you live with.
We’re Sundays in Bed, a Kuala Lumpur studio that designs and looks after homes. Park Place isn’t among our projects yet, so we’ll design yours room by room and write the fee down for you before anything starts.
Park Place is one freehold tower of 54 storeys and 537 homes by Perdana ParkCity, completed in November 2024 with keys from January 2025, a short walk from Plaza Arkadia in the ParkCity TownCenter.
Park Place homes range from 1,109 to 4,047 sq ft built-up; most are three-bedrooms.

The Sky Garden, and what it frees up at home
The developer built the tower around what it calls a fourth place: residents’ lounges for working, studying and making music, beyond the home itself. On levels 41 and 42, the Sky Garden holds a work loft, a private study room, a music room, a movie room, a mini theatre with karaoke and a games room. Downstairs, the podium adds a lounge hall and a multipurpose hall for gatherings larger than a home can hold.
If the loft upstairs takes your video calls, a spare bedroom can stay a bedroom. And with the handover kitchen and air-conditioning still new (as reported for the D1 plan), the spend can go into joinery, lighting and furniture.
Pencil Office’s three wings, and a Sky Garden in two halves
Park Place was designed by the Singapore architect Erik L’Heureux of Pencil Office as one tower of three wings, with the shared interiors by PIA Interior of Bangkok. PIA splits the Sky Garden, more than 20,000 sq ft across levels 41 and 42, into two halves: an Active wing for games, music, tutoring and company, and a Passive wing for quiet work, private meetings and reading. The developer’s list adds a library lounge, a hammock garden and an outdoor amphitheatre.
That split is worth borrowing at home. If the louder half of family life can go up to the Active wing, the living room can be planned as your own Passive one: deep chairs, a reading lamp, and shelves where a games console might have gone.

How your household uses a Park Place home comes first.
Then we design where the reported handover stops: wardrobes, lighting, any dry kitchen you entertain in, and furniture sized to the larger plans.
If you love to entertain
The reported D1 plan has a wet kitchen and a yard, and agents say the C plans have two kitchens. Where there are two, we draw the dry side as part of the dining room, with the good stone and the soft light, and keep the wet side for everyday frying and steaming.
If the bathrooms outnumber the bedrooms
The larger plans have four or five bathrooms. They are new, so we rarely touch the tiles: a vanity with real storage, a better mirror and warmer light usually make each one feel finished.
If the third bedroom needn’t be a study
With study rooms and a work loft upstairs, the third bedroom in a Type B can be a guest room or a child’s room. We add a desk only if someone will sit at it.
If someone swims before work
The podium has an Olympic-length infinity pool, a kids’ pool, a forest trail, a playground and a gym. If yours is a household that swims or walks first thing, we’d give wet towels and trainers a ventilated cupboard by the front door, so they never travel through the bedrooms. With the gym downstairs, a spare room needn’t give its floor to a treadmill.
If you live at the very top
The five duplexes on levels 52 and 53 run from 2,917 to 4,047 sq ft, with five bedrooms on two floors. With a stair and a landing, they’re closer to a house than a flat, and we plan them that way.
If the handover suits you
Kitchen cabinets with a hob and hood, air-conditioning in the bedrooms, living and dining, and hot water in every bathroom came with the keys in the reported D1 plan. We check yours on the visit, and whatever suits you stays.
If the lift panel and the storey count disagree
The developer’s level lists run 3a, 13a, 33a and 43a, with no level 4, 14, 34 or 44, so the number on your door can sit a storey off the true count. By our own count of those lists, a typical floor holds eleven homes across the three wings, while levels 40 to 43, around the Sky Garden, hold only three each. We give contractors and delivery crews the number on the lift panel, never the storey, so a marble top doesn’t arrive at the wrong door among eleven.
What interior design costs at Park Place
At Park Place, the Sundays in Bed design fee is an estimated RM16,180–23,310 for a 1,367 sq ft Type B and RM23,310–30,440 for a Type C.

Here is the Park Place design fee, from Type A to D. The plan you’re most likely to own here is the Type B. With study rooms upstairs, the first question we’d ask is whether its spare bedroom needs a desk at all, or only a bed and a wardrobe. That one answer changes the drawings more than the fee.
3 bedrooms: 3 rooms at RM3,565, plus the open-plan living and dining at RM5,485. The foyer and utility yard are designed free.
Within each level, the lower figure covers the essentials; the upper figure adds extras such as a feature wall, LED strips and a kitchen island.
What the two levels mean
Curated. Melamine or laminate carpentry, quartz or sintered stone tops, the existing ceiling kept or a new plaster ceiling. Furniture from Commune, Cellini, Fella Design, Dezign District, Poet Living, Big Brain, Gudang, Crown Livin and Dadswood.
Bespoke. Detailed joinery, sintered stone tops, a plaster ceiling with detailing. Furniture from Space Furniture, Tekni, BoConcept, King Living, Ambient Living, Stanzo, Forest Furniture, Roche Bobois, XTRA, Urban Edge, Molteni&C, Nostaloft, Flexform, Janine and Chesters Collection.
How the fee works
Your fee is set out on paper before a line is drawn for your Park Place home, and paid in stages as the design moves along. A dearer stone for the dry kitchen raises the stone’s price and nothing on our side, because our fee is counted in rooms. Our pricing, in full

How these figures are worked out
Each type is priced as a new handover, bathrooms kept: keys went out in January 2025. The C and D plans are priced with a dry and a wet kitchen.
Our ranges allow for air-conditioners, a hob and hood, and kitchen cabinets. Park Place’s handover specification, as reported, includes all three; keep them and your total comes in lower.

Park Place renovations, and a lift slot booked before you need it
At Park Place, we ask for lift and loading slots early, because many neighbours have been renovating at once.
We design and manage, and contractors you choose build from quotes we compare with you.
The club, the plaza and the clinic, by the developer’s own walks
The developer measures the walk from Park Place to the ParkCity Club at 290 m, Plaza Arkadia at 300 m, ParkCity Medical Centre at 550 m and The Waterfront at 600 m.
That can change a brief. If the larger birthdays go to the club and the coffee to the plaza, a dining table for six may serve better than one for ten, and the space it frees can go to a reading chair. If a parent who sees a doctor often lives with you, the medical centre’s nearness may count for more than any view, and we plan their room with it in mind: a level shower with a seat, and light by the bed.
Closer still, the developer set aside more than 70,000 sq ft as forest with a high canopy, between Central Park and the Town Square Park still to come, and covered the arrival so you stay under cover from car to door. That helps on moving day: a sofa can come off the lorry in a downpour without a wet carton.

Defects first, then works
Keys were handed over from January 2025, but your sale agreement starts the defect liability period on your own vacant possession date, so it’s worth checking yours. If it’s still open, we note defects on the site visit so they’re reported before your contractor changes anything.
The management office approves works in writing before they begin, and DBKL is the council here, as Park Place is in Kuala Lumpur.
DBKL approved the building plan under reference BP T1 OSC 2020 0797, and the developer’s permit registers Park Place as a freehold condominium; both are worth keeping with your sale documents for the day a contractor asks.
Interior design after the Park Place handover, and what it left you
Every Park Place home starts from a handover reported to include kitchen cabinets with a hob and hood, cooling and hot water.
We start with what that got right, and add what your household needs.
A Type D shared with a grandparent asks for something quite different from the same plan let to a couple. So before any drawing, we get to know who lives with you, who cooks, and who will use the Sky Garden more than the spare room.

One published renovation record from another firm names Park Place: about 1,300 sq ft, three bedrooms, RM120,000, or RM92 per sq ft, with ten weeks on site.

Park Place owners ask
Can the dry kitchen open into the dining room?
It depends on your plan. Agents say the C plans have a separate dry kitchen; where one exists, we draw it with the dining table in mind and keep the cooking smells in the wet kitchen behind. Taking a wall down depends on the structure and on management’s approval, which we check before any drawing.
The developer’s six C plans, from 1,636 to 2,250 sq ft, all have three bedrooms and four bathrooms, and one agent describes a 1,722 sq ft C2 with a utility room as well. With a bathroom to spare, one can become the laundry the dry kitchen never has to hide.
Is the handover kitchen worth keeping?
Usually. The cabinets, hob and hood were new in January 2025, as reported; we check yours on the site visit. New doors, a stone top or better lighting can change the look and keep everything that works.
Do I need a home office if the Sky Garden has a work loft?
Not always. A small desk at home can cover the quick tasks, with the study rooms on levels 41 and 42 for long calls and quiet afternoons. We plan the spare bedroom for what it will really be used for.
PIA’s designer, Danny Arthayukti, calls the thinking behind the Sky Garden ‘hotelization’: the building keeps the rooms a hotel would, so each home needn’t. That is the case for a smaller desk at home and a spare room that stays a bedroom.
How different is designing a level 52–53 duplex?
Quite different. The five duplexes run to 4,047 sq ft, with five bedrooms over two floors, so the stair, the upper landing and the light between the floors are planned the way we’d plan a house.
The developer’s plans give each of the five, E1 to E5, five bedrooms and six bathrooms, with an 86 sq ft accessory parcel on the title; the standard plans carry 32 or 43 sq ft parcels of their own.
Should I report defects before renovating?
Yes. Keys were handed over from January 2025, and your sale agreement sets how long the defect period runs from your own vacant possession. We list what we see on the site visit, so you can report it before your contractor starts.
What might a Park Place design fee be?
It follows the rooms you hand us: RM3,565 for each bedroom, study or bathroom you’d like designed, and RM5,485 for the living and dining. Choose your type in the calculator above for an estimate; the final figure is put in writing before we begin.
Type B alone comes in six variants, from B1 to B2a, and B1 accounts for 68 homes, two on most floors, so the home next door may be your plan in mirror. Tell us your variant and we’ll price from your own drawing.
Type A has four variants of two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and Type D five of four bedrooms and five bathrooms, one of them a single home on level 1.
