What does an interior designer do?
An interior designer plans how a home works and looks (the layout, built-ins, lighting, materials) and turns it into drawings a contractor can build from; at Sundays in Bed that full service includes a project manager and procurement team to source the furniture and manage the works too. A decorator or stylist works with a room's existing layout. A designer can change it.
Do you build it as well?
We design, manage and work with trusted contractors for the renovation and carpentry works.
Do you charge for a site visit?
A pre-project site visit is RM200 anywhere in the Klang Valley, waived if you go ahead with us.
How is the fee worked out?
Every fee is per room, not per home. An open-plan living and dining space is priced as one room, at RM5,485. With Interior Design, up to two utility, yard or foyer spaces are designed free. Your home just needs a bedroom and a living and dining space, open-plan or separate. They are part of how a home works, not extras we bill for. Interior Styling has no free rooms. Each one is RM1,715.
What's the room-by-room pricing?
Every fee is per room, not per home, and fixed in writing before we begin.
- RM3,565 — bedroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, home office or balcony
- RM5,485 — an open-plan living, dining and kitchen space, with or without the open kitchen
- Free — up to two utility, yard or foyer spaces, when your home has a bedroom and a living and dining space
