Aloycius' Open Space

The kitchen and yard may serve different purposes, but they don’t have to feel like separate spaces. Here, the same backsplash material was carried through from the kitchen into the yard, creating a visual thread that makes the transition between the two feel natural and considered.

Warm timber tones were introduced alongside it, chosen to sit comfortably with the warmth of the existing doors. Rather than introducing another finish for the sake of it, the materials were kept within the same family, allowing the spaces to feel connected without looking too matched.

And because the yard has to work just as hard as the kitchen, a designated area was created for hanging laundry, organised compartments and dedicated shelving - giving an everyday necessity its own place while keeping the rest of the space feeling neat and intentional.

The spaces we use every day deserve to feel just as much like home as the ones we show off.
