Furniture and finishes chosen to still look right in ten years, not just this season. Neutral bones, considered proportions, and a preference for quality over trend. It is the lowest-risk style to commit to for a long-term home, since it dates the slowest.
Family-friendly
Durable fabrics, rounded edges, and layouts that survive daily life with children without looking like a playroom. The design decisions here are practical first — what wipes clean, what withstands, what has room to grow — with style built around those constraints rather than despite them.
Characterful and collected
Rooms that look assembled over years rather than bought in one trip: mixed eras, a few bold pieces, art and objects with a story. This suits homeowners who already have things they love and want a designer to build around them, not replace them.
Heritage-inspired
Warmer, older-world materials and detailing — timber, rattan, traditional patterns — reinterpreted for a contemporary home rather than copied wholesale. A popular choice for landed homes and older buildings where the architecture already leans this way.
