When this client — who works from home full-time — took possession of their new home, one room was earmarked to double as an office and an occasional guest room. The furniture itself wasn't the problem; most of it was already owned or sourced independently. What the room lacked was a sense of occasion. Bare walls, a desk, and little else made for a space that was technically usable but not somewhere anyone wanted to sit for long. It needed personality without needing to be rebuilt — the brief was styling, not renovation.
