A minimal and simplistic kitchen

A new condo kitchen in Kuala Lumpur, taken from a bare handover shell to a considered, everyday space.

At handover, the kitchen was little more than an empty shell — bare walls, exposed service points, no counters, no storage. For the young family moving in, that blank slate was the whole appeal of a new condo, and also the central challenge: nothing yet to suggest how a morning routine, a quick weekday dinner, or weekend batch-cooking would actually happen inside it. They wanted the finished room to feel calm and uncluttered, without losing anywhere to put things.
